OTR2 has been featured in the Montgomery Advertiser, the local newspaper here in Montgomery, AL! While filming yesterday we were honored to have another film crew from a local station and a couple local reporters with us.
And very best wishes to everyone in Montgomery who helped us out yesterday, what a wonderful and charming town.

I read your article in the Montgomery Advertiser and was compelled to send you a comment. I think it is great what you are doing and I would like to extend an offer to come back to Montgomery in July. The Montgomery Lions Club hosts the William C. Chandler International Camp that brings campers from all over the world to our capital city. We are trying to do the exact thing you are doing by presenting peace and understanding through global relationships built one person at a time. Please contact our office 334.356.1180. We would love to share our experiences with your group.
Bob, thank you for your comments and invitation and we would love to hear your stories. It is through the honorable efforts of people like you that a better world understanding is achieved.
Best,
Noessa
I think what you are doing is great. Bridging a gap between cultures. The average person in America cares and feels no different than anyone else in the world. We are tolerate, loving, kind and giving. We have good days, we have bad days. We, as I’m sure you, wake up every morning thanking our God for another glorius day.
I constantly read about the how unfair the world is. How misunderstood we all are. It is good to see someone such as yourself and your crew take the time to show us as we are. I would truely wish your next project would be to show your middle east countries and their actual views of American…not the goverment views which always seem jaded. I would love to know more about your average person and their day to day life. This would be a reality show i would enjoy watching!
I am a firm believer of “pay it forward”. Do something nice for someone ..for no reason, other than to care for another human being…I believe it always comes back to you, one way or another..
What you are doing is nothing short of a miracle..and you will be rewarded in life.
If you have a chance check out this site: http://www.playingforchange.com/
It’s street musicians from all over the world. The music is about caring about your neighbor next door, across the ocean, in a tiny village, Isreal, New Orleans, San Francisco…Spain, Africa…anywhere on earth!
There are also videos on Youtube ..just use “playing for change “as a seach string. This music proves we are one.
Good Luck, Best Wishes
One, just as you
That is just great. I will speak to the cast. They are scheduled to leave on the 25th from DC but they loved Montgomery and were very engaged by the Civil Rights discussions and were moved by people’s candor about the Civil Rights movement, how ‘bad’ it had been and how much better things are now. Montgomery is a real testimonial to that. They all have long term visas and they may either be able to stay or come back for the camp.
It was great working with the production crew and students from “On the Road in America.” What a wonderful concept and cause. The students and their stories were amazing and interesting. We only wish you had more time to enjoy our beautiful state. You are always welcome to visit Alabama whether you are filiming or not. We love for visitors to see the “real” Alabama and experience the wonderful hospitality. Please spread the word about your visit to Sweet Home Alabama. :)
