About the Cast

Sara Hoteit
Sara is 22 years old and although she was born in Ivory Coast, has lived the past ten years in south Beirut,
Lebanon. She is religiously Shi’a, and a charming, engaging free spirit. Sara is away from her family for the first time in her life, filming ‘On the Road in America.’

Lama Masri
Lama is 21 and was born in Saudi Arabia, lived in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia extensively and currently resides
in Beirut. Lama is a devout Sunni Muslim, intelligent, sophisticated, well traveled, politically informed, and up for anything.
She is also on the Lebanese national women’s soccer team.
Joseph Assi
Joseph is a 22-year-old Palestinian refugee who resides in a refugee camp in Lebanon.
His family is Christian, although as with many young people Joseph doesn’t find much time
for religion himself.

Basheer Haddad
Basheer is 25 and although his family is Lebanese, he has lived most of his life in Cairo, Egypt.
Religiously, Bash is Druze.
Basheer is infinitely curious, a party animal, an aspiring filmmaker, a bodybuilder and a professional model
and dancer. Like many young people the world over, Basheer tends to be more interested in making friends and having fun than politics.
But above all, Bash cares deeply for his family and provides for his mother and sister who live with him in Egypt, where he works
for a small music and film production company.
